ImpatiensEdward Bach preached the philosophy that a healthy mind led to a healthy body. He drew up 7 categories of emotions that could be treated homeopathically to create a positive outlook. Bach believed that good health depended on a positive outlook on life and that God had provided all the plants that were needed to create such an attitude. He discovered flower remedies by studying wildflowers growing in the countryside near his Oxfordshire home. The “Rescue Remedy” contains 5 flower remedies: Rock Rose, Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem, and Cherry Plum. This remedy was used for coping with emotional trauma. The seven categories of emotions he drew up are:
1. Fear
2. Loneliness
3. Insufficient interest in present circumstances
4. Despondency or Despair
5. Uncertainty
6. Over-sensitivity to influences and ideas
7. Over-care for the welfare of others

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God’s heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on Earth.
